It's the most wonderful time, of the year!

December was good a month for our family, we got to leave the cold and darkness of Alaska for warm sunny Texas and California for Christmas. Kaysen was by far the best traveler ever. Not only did he love being on the plane and ran to get on, but would cry when we had to get off. The kid is still asking to go on a plane ride! After a 22 hr traveling day his father and I are good for a while. We went to Texas for the first Christmas we spent as a family there. Howie in 5+ years has some how missed all that craziness,  so this year he had to pay up :) Kaysen enjoyed running around outside, getting spoiled by Papa and Yea-Yea and seeing Uncle Kane. He got to go to jumpy castles, children's  museums and go play on tractors and pet animals. He was a HAPPY little boy. It was great seeing grandparents, aunts and uncles and just seeing the sun everyday. Kaysen was so confused with the highways, stores, signs and lights, he kept asking "what's that?" Finally I just said, "civilization!" poor kid.
We left Texas and headed to California to see Howie's parents, sister and her whole gang. Between the cousins, train table and chickens Kaysen was more than happy and worn out. It was great getting to see everyone and having fresh fruits and vegetables  Yes, living up here makes you really happy when you get those kinds of things.
After a few day in California it was back to the real world here in Alaska where the snow, cold and dark were waiting for us. It was nice to be back home, but I'm ready to go get some more sunshine!
