Well March was busy to say the least, not only was Howie TDY, but he flew back on the 12th of March only for us to turn around and leave the morning of the 13th to head down to the lower 48. With less than 24 hrs home, he went to work, got re-packed, slept and off he, Kaysen, Kane and I started our 22 hr adventure. Kaysen was fantastic on the 2 plane rides while Howie and I were exhausted from no sleep due to our lovely seats right up against the bathroom wall on the plane. When we landed on the 14th at 7:00 am not only were we exhausted but pleasntly surprised at how "hot" it was. So after a day of playing catch up on sleep our whirl-wind Florida trip began. Howie was in a wedding for one of his high school buddies on the 17th, Kaysen had his 2nd birthday party the next day and not to mention beach trips, glass bottom boat rides strawberry picking , seeing family and friends and all sorts of other adventures were taking place.
Another great thing about being in Florida is Howie's sister and her 4 kids came down. It was so fun to see Kaysen play with his cousins and how they just took him into their little gang. They were so great with him and Kaysen really enjoyed all the excitement that comes with that many kids. I really enjoyed it because he was so warn out by the end of each day!
As usual Grandma and Grandpa spoiled Kaysen rotten. They had a golf cart that was a huge hit and mulberry tree that Kaysen LOVED! Every day he would run to the tree and pick berries. He was in heaven with their big back yard, sun shine and all the toys Grandma borrowed for him to play with. All in all Florida was a great time and we wished we could go back more often.
